Week 4 Post-Trial - 11pm
[It had become somewhat of a routine, but tonight was different. Loss wasn't something Yoite dealt with well, but it wasn't because of a lack of familiarity. Like his other emotions and feelings he had done his best to bury it, to numb himself from it. Consequently, it wasn't something he was able to empathize with well either.
Yoite hadn't known Selena, but he had done his best to not get to know anyone here. He had failed in that regard, though. He told himself that Dhaos was different, that because they shared a somewhat similar point.... it wasn't something he liked to think of, yet he really couldn't deny it anymore either. Right now though, he had to do something for the other.
He waits until it's late until mostly everyone has gone to their rooms, to head back down to the first floor. Like last week he has two lemonades with him, though this time he also other items. Namely a bottle of wine (one that looks closest to sake that he can find) and bags of assorted sweets. He doesn't know if Dhaos drinks (or eats if he thinks about it), but he feels like a situation like this would be one where people drank and ate. At least that's what Yukimi had taught him, anyway. He knocks, hoping that this all was enough.]

He was lucky at least to get to know Yoite and even Urashima. But he didn't want to trouble them when he was like this. When all the fury was gone, he simply wished to forget about what occurred.
Sometimes he wished the truth was that he had been unconscious all this time, and that his people were safe and everything was as it should be. He decides that maybe it'll do for a midnight walk, not knowing someone else was coming and went to his door to open it. ]

Good evening.
I brought you something. [ He holds out the bag of goods.]
no subject
...Good evening, and thank you.
[ He begins to move back into his room, to his bed, setting the things nearby on a small table. ]
I did not know they had alcohol here, and yet you went through so much trouble, Yoite. I am not sure where to even start... however.
no subject
You're welcome. [ Normally in such a situation he would sit off to the side guarding the exits, but he knew this was different. He rarely if ever ate at a table too, but he was determined to make an effort.]
My.. [He pauses, not sure of what to call Yukimi.] guardian would say to start wherever you want, as long as you're drinking. [ At least he's positive he got that part right, though.]
no subject
[ Takes the cap off and if it's probably one of those pain in the ass ones, it still would have been done with ease. There are probably cups here or something right... ]
...Even now, I cannot understand Vegeta reasons. They seem just...too inane. Even the most ambitious, self-centered, and prideful individual I know would realize this.
no subject
I talked to him several times. He was a very focused person who had a rigid way of thinking. [He pauses to unwrap a donut and eat it whole, because this is how he does things.]
People are killed for a lot of reasons, some big, some small. I don't think his victim was targeted though, it was like Takao. [Yoite isn't in a position to judge Vegeta, he's killed people over less. But he's sure it wasn't personal at least, which may or may not be a comfort.]
no subject
It does not seem like that... no. But he seemed to have a very good idea of how her personality worked.
[ He reaches for a donut, and for the first time since he's arrived, start to eat something In complete contrast to Yoite, he nibbles on it, and holds it delicately, before setting it down without finishing it completely.
Then he starts to truly indulge a little in the drink. Stopping only to speak. ]
Yet, even though we have seen what occurred, I doubt it will be the last time someone will attempt to use such a tactic to lure someone outside.
no subject
A lot of people here like to think it's one united group. I don't [ Pause as he eats another donut whole like it's completely natural.] care about any of them. [Vaguely he's aware that an example of him caring is sitting right across from him, but he prefers not to think about it.]
no subject
It's a united group? [ Dhaos for one takes a leap of faith to believe he is not counted in that 'group' that Yoite does not care about and takes another generous indulging of his drink. ] That is a laugh. But yes, there are many who do believe everyone sticking together and becoming friends will stop a dagger in the back.
[ Dhaos has always known it was a temporary fix-- bonding with someone else. However, sometimes it couldn't be helped, and fighting it was useless after it was done with. He has conflicting feelings about it, but it was better than being alone. ]
Not to mention, even though most have expressed that we are 'united', there are 'circles' among us.
no subject
Circles don't make any sense. Anything more than pairs just makes things more difficult. [Speaking from experience.]
no subject
[ What is trust? Although, he seems to think of something, regarding that. ]
Speaking of pairs, however... we may as well discuss something concerning the recent event of this so-called 'buddy system' of theirs. While it has proven ineffective, generally... I would like to ask if we could perhaps 'share' a room?
[ Pouring himself some more wine, because why not. ]
1/2
The question makes him freeze, because it catches him off guard. He pulls his legs close to chest, a position of comfort for him.]
A partnership. [The words sound strange to him, even though he's been partnered with Yukimi for a year.]
no subject
That promise comes first. If that's understood then...yes. [It was too late to bury any attachments.]
1/2
[ Dhaos recalls Urashima mentioning how much he's seen-- undoubtedly at least that one has seen a war. He was sure that was not to be the case for many of them.
He's never had quite an appetite, so he is not going to finish that donut. But he does place the cap on top of the wine bottle before reaching for that cup of lemonade. ]
2/2
[ Dhaos realizes it is likely too late and he lost the battle in his own 'castle'. But maybe there is something he could do that at least ensures the truth gets out. If he speaks to someone from Aselia telling them what occurred then maybe... maybe...
It was better than submitting to despair--at his talk with Urashima he may have hinted at it but it wasn't like he was the only one who had felt that way likely. For himself, he just required one more day or so and he can come to terms with what occurred and truly move on. ]
To that end, I suppose we are now partners. Perhaps we should give a toast to that? Even if you did drink almost all of yours already.
[ He smiles as he picks up the second thing of lemonade Yoite brought. ]
no subject
He catches on quickly enough though, even if his face is a bit flush-- this doesn't seem like something he should be doing. If he thinks about it, it's better than the traditional way of swearing loyalty by shinobi standards (a mark inscription written in blood on the body), and he's never really been one for tradition anyway. Besides, this way had lemonade which was always a plus.]
Okay. [ How did it go again?]
Kanpai! [ He's trying, as he raises the cup like he's seen Yukimi do.]
no subject
'Cheers', indeed.
[ There's that small noise when the cups come in contact and he begins to sip at his lemonade to cement it... or something. It's been ages since he's done anything like that. ]
Let me know if you have a preference to which room will be used.
no subject
It doesn't matter to me. But there's less people on this floor. [ Going to just eat another donut while still wondering if he did that all correctly, and how he managed to get himself in a situation like this in the first place (even if it wasn't a bad thing at all).]
